Laura Ingraham Rips Mitt Romney, Praises Newt Gingrich On Debate Performances (VIDEO)

Conservative radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham tore into GOP candidate Mitt Romney on Monday.

During an appearance on Fox News' morning program "Fox and Friends," Ingraham criticized Romney for what she described as his tense debate performance. According to Ingraham, Romney "got rattled" by simple questions regarding his tax returns.

Ingraham said that Romney made a mistake by not agreeing to release his tax returns during Monday night's GOP debate. "I do believe, though, on this issue of tax returns, it does not make Romney look good to kind of hem-and-haw and say 'well, we're looking at it, we feel like we've been well-exposed, I'm going to look at it again in April,'" she said. "It just looks like a politician."

Ingraham also said that Romney could use his tax returns to his advantage. "He is so brilliant on this stuff...he could use the tax returns to school the American public on appropriate tax policy," Ingraham said.

While Ingraham criticized Romney, she praised Gingrich for his debate performance. "He rocked it," Ingraham said of Gingrich. She added that Gingrich's debate performance demonstrated how he could successfully take on President Obama in the general election. "I've never seen him better," Ingraham said.

I could puke listening to people talk about debate performance. Newt is a professional lobbyist contrary to legal manipulation of the term. It is simply an oxymoron for a career politician to be a conservative. Just think about it. No, manager of business would elect an executive with no executive experience. And the idiots want to do this again with Newt. You elected someone with terrorist ties last time now with ethic violations this time. Morals hmmmm what is that? Trust, integrity it means nothing? Obama was elected on smooth worthless inexperienced talk and now the same for Newt, puke again. We need to elect someone from the private sector as I am sure the founding fathers would turn in their grave if they found career politicians driving free enterprise. They system has been trashed from the direction of flow, is everyone blind? It is time to reverse the roles and correct the mess.

Fluff.

This statement demonstrates that either her mind took the night off while her butt was still in the chair, or that her analysis swims in the low in of a very shallow pool.

Except it tough to school people on anything when you wind up on the wrong side of an issue.

Woman, please! The only thing that Gingrich "rocks" is his great-grandchild on his knee.

Laura's an idiot...Gingrich is a blatant r@cist and has effectively dashed any chance he ever had to make a showing in a general election.

School the public on appropriate American tax policy? Perhaps the public can school him. Why is income taxed at a higher rate than capital gains? Oh right, cause capital gains is used to create jobs. Except that isn't.

Sorry folks. Romey is the choice of the nation, not just the GOP. Check the polls. I would vote for Gingrich and have stated right along he would be just the kind of president we need in these troubled time. However, he carries too much baggage and the Independents will shy away from him. In the end it does not matter what the strict conservatists like Laura Ingrham, Rush Limbaugh and Hannity believe or what it is a simple fact that the largest voting block the independents will vote for a moderate, right of center GOP candidate and not a true right or left wing candidate. So, do you want Romney with his warts or Obama with his dismal record as President? You decide.

When you start out with abolute statements like yours you lose any credibility you may have.

Besides independents are independents because, like the name suggests, they vote independently and not as blocks.

Obama.

I imagine Gingrich would be near the top among the remaining candidates on Obama's wish list of opponents. And the schooling Romney would give would be, first and foremost, be born rich. You can not say that's not good advice.

Good advice is something that is realistic and achievable. He had nothing to do with being born rich so that probably wouldn't be good advice.

It is more the same arrogance and aloofness that already turns people off about him.

Republicans have fallen all over each other in a contest to see who could better support the 1%.
Romney as a corporate raider exactly fills their requirements. Romney is the one. He has Wall Street support, he has National Republican leadership support. That's really all he needs.

New Gringrich:

The House voted overwhelmingly to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and order him to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House's 208-year history it has disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing.

...Gingrich admitted that he brought discredit to the House and broke its rules by failing to ensure that financing for two projects would not violate federal tax law and by giving the House ethics committee false information.
