Sarah Palin Blasts Newsweek For Running Story By Andrew Sullivan
Sarah Palin took to Twitter early Tuesday to give Newsweek a piece of her mind.
The former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate seemed to be particularly annoyed by the magazine's decision to run a cover story about President Barack Obama under the headline: "Why Are Obama's Critics So Dumb?" But Palin's ire wasn't directed at the story's assertions; instead she took aim at Andrew Sullivan, the author of the article.

Sullivan is the former editor of The New Republic, a weekly columnist for the Sunday Times of London and the author of several books, including "Virtually Normal," "Love Undetectable" and "The Conservative Soul." In recent years, he has covered Palin's public and political life, including the unfounded rumors that claimed Palin may not have given birth to her son Trig. The speculation ended in 2008 when Sullivan posted links to photographs showing a pregnant Palin.
Sullivan's latest article talks about the president's critics, who come from all sides of the political spectrum. He writes: "It's not that I don't understand the critiques of Barack Obama from the enraged right and the demoralized left. It's that I don't even recognize their description of Obama's first term in any way. The attacks from both the right and the left on the man and his policies aren't out of bounds. They're simply -- empirically -- wrong."
Sullivan then offers the caveat that he is "an unabashed supporter of Obama" who believes the president "has delivered in a way that the unhinged right and purist left have yet to understand or absorb."
Other conservatives have already taken Sullivan to task over the article. On Monday, he responded to many of their comments in his blog, The Dish. Although he didn't address Palin's complaint, Sullivan ended his blog post by offering disgruntled readers a simple challenge: "Show me where I'm wrong and we can debate this. Or are you only synapses firing into the partisan night?"
Only time will tell if Palin plans to take him up on the offer.
