Lisa Vanderpump Gets 'Real Housewives' Spin-Off

First it was Bethenny Frankel from New York, then Kim Zolciak from Atlanta and now Beverly Hills housewife Lisa Vanderpump will be leaving her fellow "Real" ladies behind and going it alone.

"Bravo has taped a pilot with Lisa for her own show and is now deciding if they want to greenlight a full series based around her life and family," a network insider told me. "They do not rush into these sorts of things, but if all goes according to plan, Lisa will soon have her own reality show."

The British beauty made her fortune in the restaurant business in England before moving with her family to California, where they have just opened sexy new lounge SUR.

"This would be her dream come true," a friend of Lisa's told me of the spin-off. "Initially the producers were not sure they even wanted her to be part of the Beverly Hills cast, but were won over when they met her flamboyant houseguest, Cedric Martinez, who moved back in with her once the show started filming, before everything turned bad."

Cedric, who turned up on a recent episode of the show, told Radar Online that Lisa was a "bitter, conniving woman who will do anything for fame. ... I'm confident that as the truth slowly comes out, the public will come to realize Lisa's pretty facade hides a heartless, bitter, rotting core."

Those are some dramatic words -- perhaps even dramatic enough to get Lisa's pilot fast-tracked into an entire new series.

Lisa is a Brit, very charming and stylish with more class than the Osbournes.

Me thinks that as a 'ol fashioned Brit, there's the inclination toward the stiff upper-lip,

the stoic that for better or worse, tending to mute one's outward comments.

Others in the media could tone down their brash, raunchy comments. Overall,

I feel for the women who appear on the Bev Hills Wives. They all come off as real

(yet entertaining) people. I wouldn't want their lives but they have entertained us

by allowing cameras into their lives. Wish 'em all well ..

I could be wrong but I'm going out on a limb and opining that Cedric's harsh words about Lisa Vanderpump would be equally applicable to the others on this weekly hour of over-the-top ostantation and over-exposure. They all remind me of "Bad Girls."

Why do the networks that air these types of shows continue to build up these quasi celebrities? Dump them after the first season and find new "Housewives" that want their private lives exposed for anyone to see...

Someone who sells out her friends to the tabloids, seems to avoid sex with her husband at all costs, and plays snug and superior at every turn? Also, what is interesting about her airhead, shallow daughter and entitled country club son-in-law? The show won't last.

Cedric is the biggest scum out there! He's the one who freeloaded off of Lisa, used her family, money, home, and her caring for him. He lied for years and manipulated the goodness of the family.

Yeah, he worked for them for ten years most of it with illegal pay under the table and then they smeared his name with a false police complaint and a well orchestrated media campaign after Lisa discovered the truth about her husband's prostitutes and love child. And Lisa confided in Cedric about her own affair. Yup, that's definitely "freeloading" - NOT!

They helped to get him papers into the country because he made all this false story that he was born to a prostitute, had no family and grew in the streets. Later they find out he has a sister he's been in contact. He has never worked for that family. He has no skills. They just felt sorry for him and took him in. I don't know where you are getting all these other stories but even if it's true it has nothing to do with what he did. Sounds to me you relate to the guy because you have his character traits.

Bravo should leave the show as it is minus Dana (oooh look at my $24, 000 sunglasses) and Kim (Brandi was right all along). Most weeks it's a fairly interesting peak into the lives of these rich and not so famous, up til now, women. Of all the "Wives Of" shows these women seem to have the most heart and intelligence. Not a very high bar has been set so far, but they exceeded it. That being said, the show works because of the chemistry of the cast. A Lisa Vanderpump spin off would get old pretty fast. Really how much pink can we stand?

Totally agree. I don't watch any of the other housewives shows. It's the chemistry that makes this one work (minus Kim and Taylor, of course). Bravo making a big mistake messing with it.

Can someone please tell me who the dark haired woman with the HUGE hair and the three little girls in purple is? Her picture is always a few lines above and I have no idea who she is? I always think the headline that reads "Housewife" is referring to a real actor, as in Desperate Housewives, alas, not to be...
