Apparently, after a brief hiatus, Lonny Magazine is back...allegedly. When we heard the news that the online shelter mag had stopped publication, we were sad to see it go. But now that they're 'allegedly' back, we're left wondering what happened...and if they're really back for good.
After our story broke (thanks to Editor At Large for the shout-out!), Editor in Chief Michelle Adams tweeted the new March cover and a sneak peak of the issue along with the caption: "The team at Lonny is excited to let you know that we will have a big announcement to make in a couple of weeks!" Big announcement? Adams continued by saying, "Unfortunately, no, there will not be a Jan/Feb issue as our team had to temporarily shift our focus to build a better business model."
The strange temporary halt and the failure to provide details about the lack of a Jan/Feb 2012 issue leaves us wanting to know more. Did the magazine run out of money? Are they being bought out? Are they turning to print? Will the day of this 'big' announcement actually come?
