Newt Gingrich Asked How He Plans To 'Bloody Obama's Nose'

WEST COLOMBIA, S.C. -- Newt Gingrich has a penchant for comparing his own circumstances to those that beset some of American history's most revered political figures.
But in campaign stops across South Carolina on Tuesday, the former House speaker sounded more like he was channeling Muhammad Ali than Abraham Lincoln.

Obama cares about mugging for the camera and taking more vacations than any other president before him with his spoiled family on tax payers money. What has he done about lowering gas prices? answer-nothing. Lets not forget how much time he spends on the golf course instead of working more to earn the right to be a 2nd term President.

"GINGRICH: Well, let me say, first of all, I don't want to argue with you about the analogy. I don't want to bloody his nose. I want to knock him out."

I am 47 years old. Never before in my life have I heard anyone use such violent imagery when talking about any politician ("bloody his nose"), much less the President. It reminds me of Representative Joe Wilson shouting "You lie!" at Obama during Obama's speech before Congress. When is the last time such a thing happened? The 19th century, maybe?

I firmly believe that much of this anger is based on RACISM. I do not think simple ideological difference can account for such vehemence.

Regarding the unidentified man... If he is willing to make such a comment publicly, can you imagine what he says in private? I imagine it's something like this:

"What that ["N" word] needs is a good whippin'. After that, I'd hang his black a** from the highest tree."

I really believe that's what such people feel and think.

If Gingrich had any sense of decency, he would have told the man, "I am offended by your analogy". Instead, he said just the opposite.

I agree and I am disgusted by the acceptance of the increase of blatent racist remarks being made by the right. Racism is a bizarre concept to me. I have never understood how a person could hate someone enough to wish them harm based on nothing other than the amount of melanin in their skin, then turn around and spend their money in the tanning salon trying to get dark. If I asked you to hate everyone with blue eyes or brown hair you would think I was crazy. Why is skin color any different? Newt has exhibited an overwhelming amount of ignorance with his attacks on the poor, hungry,and unemployed, as well as his ridiculous hypocrisy when it comes to "protecting marriage". Gingrich had his time in politics. He was shamed into stepping down for ethics violations. Honestly, I find the entire GOP field to be filled with men who don't deserve to wash the windows of the White House let alone live there. Obama has been attacked on every aspect of his existence, yet he manages to refrain from using violent rhetoric. He has the manners, self respect, and class that the GOP is lacking. They are missing the things that money can't buy. Imagine that.

I am white and i would have voted for Colin Powell as he has experience. This is not racism on behalf of most people. Obama is not doing a good job . If anything it is racism towards whites as all the black people (most) are supporting him only because he is black. Look at the truth and the whole picture.

No they shouldn't. It's obvious the only way Newt can get any publicity is to make racially charged ignorant statements about minorities which is why he keeps doing it.
