How do you know you've made it? How about when the President of the United States sends you a birthday card.
Zooey Deschanel has shot to fame in the last six months on the strength of her new FOX sitcom, "New Girl." Her skyrocketing profile has helped her bring attention to her website, HelloGiggles.com, and the work it's doing with the White House to encourage young women to make a difference in their communities. As a thank you for her hard work, President Obama sent Deschanel a letter for her 32nd birthday on Tuesday, which she tweeted about with her trademark pure enthusiasm.
One positive came out of it for the President, too: it cements his status as a connoisseur of beloved niche television, having already named HBO's critically acclaimed series "The Wire" his favorite TV show back in 2008.
