Chris Paul Buys House From Avril Lavigne (PHOTOS)

Clippers point guard Chris Paul just made good use of some of his $68 million contract. He plopped down a good chunk of it to buy pop diva Avril Lavigne's Bel-Air house that's been on the market since last spring at $9.8 million. Lavigne listed the house after her split from Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley. Ah divorce, the fuel that keeps the real estate industry ticking.

The eight-bedroom Mediterranean-style mansion has a 10-car garage in case Paul wants to continue the shopping spree. It also has a gym with a sauna, a wine cellar and an outdoor living room that leads to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and barbecue. The former couple bought the home in 2007 from former Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. If the place looks familiar, it might be because it was featured in the TV show "Meet the Barkers." What? You missed it? Let's just say it was no "Parenthood."

Purchase price will probably go to the grave with the agents involved, but best guess-timates are less than asking.
