Herman Cain To Deliver Tea Party Response To Obama's 2012 State Of The Union Address

Herman Cain Response

The Huffington Post   Posted: 01/19/12 05:30 PM ET

Herman Cain will deliver the Tea Party's response to President Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday, January 24.

"Herman Cain has been a steadfast advocate for the values of the Tea Party and the practical solutions needed to solve the problems that face our nation," Tea Party Express Chief Strategist Sal Russo said in a release Thursday. "Americans want straight talk and honest solutions, and Herman Cain will deliver a pro-growth message strongly and clearly."

The White House has not outlined policy proposals that the president intends to make in the address, according to the AP. Obama will follow up the speech with stops in five battleground states.

Cain dropped out of the Republican presidential race in December 2011 and has since been touting his "Solutions Revolution" with a bus tour and a new website.

By delivering the Tea Party State of the Union response, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza is following in the footsteps of another former Republican presidential hopeful. Michele Bachmann delivered the Tea Party response to Obama's 2011 State of the Union address.

On Thursday, Cain endorsed an "unconventional candidate" for president during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Charleston, S.C. "My unconventional endorsement is the people," Cain said. "We the people are still in charge of this country, and I am endorsing we the people!"

It amazes me how LITTLE respect for the office of Presidency that the opposition has. They've made it into a joke. Thank goodness we have a President who conducts himself as a President.

It is pathetic that people like Mr. Cain can even think that they can run for President.

One would think that after Cain dropped out, he would be home trying to mend things between them, rather he is on a bus, making tours for who know why, but wait, maybe his wife doesn't want him at home, I know the people of this country were not going to put him up in the white house, in fact I don't feel there will be any republican in there for sometime.

Is this the best the Teabag Party can do?Which shows how irrelevent this party has become. They stand for nothing and do nothing to futher this Nation down the road. They are fading from the landscape of this Nation, but not soon enough. They are really cancer eating away at this Nation and I know who has the cure.Four more years of President Obama

Yea! I miss the man. He was a wonderful presidential candidate. We've had plenty of presidents with too many girlfriends. It's unfortunate, but shouldn't be fatal for someone who presented good arguments in the articulate way that Cain did. It's time to stop the lame-stream media from wielding political power that they don't have the brains or integrity to handle.

Yeah...999...uzbekibekibekistan...that's exactly the sort of enlightened person we want leading out nation at a very difficult time.

Now this is just another statement of the failure of the Teabaggers and the GOP in general. Cain whom left the presidential race in disgrace is now the voice for the Tea Party yep that makes it almost to good to be true.
04:12 AM on 01/20/2012
I read this article, about Cain be chosen to speak for the Tea Party? May I ask WHY?

This should be interesting, could be worse, could have current GOP running for President brow beat each other, The more they bit*ch slap each other the more they make Obama look like the vestle virgin.
