Jeffrey Katzenberg Home: Dreamworks CEO Lists Beverly Hills House At $9.4 Million (PHOTOS)

Inside The Home Of Dreamworks' Jeffrey Katzenberg

Who says the recession was an equal opportunity slammer? Clearly not so for DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who just listed his current Beverly Hills home for sale at $9.4 million, as the one he's been rebuilding for the past two years in the Trousdale Estates -- and paid $35 million for -- nears completion. Spend $35 million and then raze the place? Maybe there should be an Occupy Jeffrey Katzenberg movement?

With the paint drying on his new digs and the moving van apparently just around the corner, Katzenberg decided that it was time to list the place he's been living in. The five-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot contemporary Mediterranean (not making up new architectural styles; just quoting from the MLS here) has high ceilings, a two-story grand foyer and two-story guest quarters. Sorry, but we can't confirm that said guesthouse is where President Obama parked for the night when he was in town. We can confirm that the Clintons were regular houseguests at Katzenberg's Malibu beachfront home, also the scene of many a fundraiser. Of course with Obama reversing course on SOPA, Casa Katzenberg may be pulling up the welcome mat when the president comes a-calling. Just sayin'.

The home for sale, built in 1985, sits on about a half-acre property that includes a pool and cabana, a deck and a nicely manicured lawn. The house has five bedrooms including the master suite, a library with a wet bar, and an upstairs family and game room. And of course it has a home theater.

Myra Nourmand of Nourmand and Associates has the listing.
