Terrell Owens To Allen Wranglers: T.O. Announces Next Move

T.O. Announces Next Move

Get your popcorn ready IFL fans. Terrell Owens is headed to Allen, Texas.

The former star receiver of the NFL announced that he's joining the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.

"Uh oh! It’s official! It just went down! I’m headed back to Texas! That’s right. IFL, here I come. Allen, Texas, here I come," he said. "Allen, Texas.. I'll see you in the end zone."

Late last month, the Wranglers made an offer worth up to $500,000 to the six-time Pro Bowler. It was at least the second offer Owens received from a team outside the NFL.

Despite having surgery on a torn ACL during the offseason, the 37-year-old insisted to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN in October that he would play this year. But when Owens' agent Drew Rosenhaus put together a personal workout for NFL scouts to attend, nobody but the NFL Network and ESPN showed up.

Owens' decision to sign with the Wranglers comes shortly after a Los Angeles judge presiding over a paternity suit involving Owens reportedly declared that his NFL career was over. According to TMZ, Owens nodded his head in agreement at that statement.

Can T.O. use this IFL as a launchpad for a return to the NFL?
