Gisele & Tom Brady's New House In California Is Bigger Than All Of Our Houses Combined (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 01/20/2012 1:23 pm EST Updated: 01/29/2013 4:26 pm EST

We never assumed that the world's highest-paid celeb couple would live in a shack, but still, these photos of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's new mansion are giving us a serious case of real estate envy.

The work is finally complete on Gisele and Tom's new $20 million mansion in the Brentwood region of Los Angeles, and the couple is expected to be moving in soon, if they haven't already.

According to the Daily Mail, the giant two-wing house comprises an astonishing 22,000 square feet, including eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, an elevator, a nursery for baby Benjamin (obvi), a weight room and a wine cellar.

But though the mansion takes up a lot of space, Gisele reportedly had it outfitted with a variety of environmentally-conscious adaptations, including solar energy panels (which you can see on the roof in the photos), energy-efficient appliances and sustainable building materials.

It looks like the Magic Kingdom palace, no? Sigh.

If you're up for some real estate porn, check out the photos below, and click over to the NY Daily News to see a larger close-up.

What a hideous mess of an environmental DISASTER!! Yes, one couple and their small child really need 25,000 square feet??? Bwhaaaa haaaa -- Poor Tom is going to be rattling around this museum like a lost marble.

The Kardashian's have nothing on them!!

My guess is Gis is probably expecting visits from her 8,000 siblings.

I just hope Tom is as cerebral in finance and women as he is at football and signed a prenup. Look what happened to Tiger and Kobe. Especially since he married her in the most husband-bias state in the country.
03:20 PM on 02/05/2012
Considering that Brady's wife, Giselle, makes more money than Brady; your comment is kind of stupid! If anything, she needed the prenup.

I doubt that would stop a scorned woman from wanting to take more his stack, just to be vindictive.
10:08 AM on 02/03/2012
Wow, for twenty million in Brentwood that's cheap. Tom must be thinking of retiring soon.
Looks very eco, with all that solor panels. And it's huge.
03:00 PM on 02/06/2012
eco? considering all the land he tore up to build it and materials it took to construct it - he could live there for 300 years and STILL not make up for all the damage building it has done to the environment. Please!

like there aren't already a plethora of CHEAP mansions for sale that could be retrofitted to be environ-friendly in Beverly Hills.

nope - that is pure ego right there.
05:11 PM on 02/06/2012
Actually, that "mansion" is not very appealing from the outside. Yeah, you are right should of got one already built and it would of been a lot nicer from the outside.

So what if its pure ego?!? This couple earned their own money, the least they can do is spend it as they please.

As for "all the damage building it has done to the environment" for gds sake, its just a house - not an oil company or Chernobyl number II.

You should be thankful some of the rich are spending THEIR money in favor of MORE JOBS, given the fact that the economy is so slow...

Looks like something Kim Kardashian and (insert any black athlete here) would live in. For that kinda money, there are WAY better looking places than that 'Burger King/Pizza Hut Mansion'..
01:54 PM on 01/25/2012
Oh please quit with the "its tacky, I wouldn't live there in a million years comments". Its making you look like the sad one, not them. who are you kidding? your 2 bedroom apartment with 3 roommates? It doesn't look good from an above view because of the "tacky" solar panels on the roof. Believe it or not a beautiful traditional roof vs. these funny looking solar panels would have made this house look plush but I think they were going for being as green as possible while still maintaining some elegance. From a foot view, I'm sure the house looks like something you could only imagine in your dreams, or on one of those million dollar mansion shows on the travel channel. ;)

Absolutely absurd. I have ZERO problem with the amount of money he and his wife have made. I just don't get the point of this level of excess.

what to you speaks of excess? the size? it is 8 bedrooms. and are you saying that if you had the money you wouldn't maybe put in a theatre or game room? how about a gym? the level of celebrity these two "enjoy" requires them to make home their castle and recreation. they both have large families as well and with the coming of more children that house will fill up in no time.

It's 22,000 square feet for two people and one toddler.

I'm not saying that he should be banned from building the home he desires. I won't lose any sleep over it. I just don't get it.

Size aside, if I were a multi-kerjillionaire I would sure as heck come up with a more interesting design. The aesthetic of this place resembles nothing so much as a pile of McMansions. A big but boring house. What does that say about them?
09:07 AM on 01/24/2012
It's only 8 bedrooms. If you look at the layout - gym, etc., I can see how it grew to that size. And, why not? They have the money...who does it hurt? If anything, they're paying the local builders, contractors, gardeners, real estate taxes, etc. A very positive trickle-down effect...good on them.
08:53 PM on 03/03/2012
People who think the house is too much are evidently jealous. I think they deserve the money they make & it is no one's business how they spend it. They also give a lot to charity. G-D Bless them. He definitely loves her & she does him. I believe this marriage will last forever.
09:44 PM on 01/23/2012
If the Brady's were so concerned with the environment, they would have bought the land and left it alone. All of the animals and plants have been displaced. That is not green. The amount of chemicals and junk the building of the house has dumped into the air and soil is not green. The soil and water table below the house has been compressed. Building this "museum" to their self love says, "The rest of the world needs to be green so we don't have too."
I wonder if they kiss their reflections after saying "mirror, mirror on the wall, whose the fairest one of all? ME and only ME!!"

This is in Brentwood. How much wildlife is left in that area with all of the mansions surrounding it. Sour grapes are seldom becoming to anyone.
04:50 PM on 01/24/2012
Thank you for underscoring my point. With all of the mansions in Brentwood, what open space remains should be left open. Trust me, I do not have sour grapes regarding this house or where it is or the family.

you are speaking of something of which you know nothing. the contractors on this house were ordered to relocate the displaced soil. all the materials - ALL - come from repurposed or sustainable sources. the entire house is solar and will require less energy than all the houses on a city street. all waste water will be recycled for grey water - meaning the recycled water will be used for landscape irrigation. you will not find a greener home. that being said - i believe your post derives from pure envy. you do not know these people. you know only the persona put forth. they need a home as a refuge. for them. for their growing family. for their very large extended families. so move on. and find a story wherein you might know something about before posting a comment.

I know alot about California building codes for green housing. I don't believe the press' statements because, naturally, the Brady's PR people are trying to place a green spin on this house that may offend people in this tough economic times when so many people don't have a roof. I know for certain that several building practices they have claimed to have used cannot be used in Southern California. That being said, I am not envious. I know the personna they put forth because that is what they offer. Many comments by these people have been thoughtless towards others who cannot breast feed or who do not have good familes to guard them from the perils of eating disorders or who err on the playing field. If I could find the clip for that interview, I'd forward it. If any person wants the public to "know" the real them, then they need to watch what they say. If you know these people, enjoy. I hope that house is as green as it can be. But, what has been claimed is not allowed under California code.

To each his own. I'm pretty sure future investment was also on their minds when they decided to build this monolithic house. After years of enjoying it, who knows this power couple may decide to sell it for mega million profits. Any huge houses situated in one of the posh areas that was owned by high-profile celebrities or superstar athletes will definitely command huge price tags.

So to those who easily throw negative comments for the expensive taste of celebs in regards to their abodes whether they "have taste" conforming to your liking or not, like you have the best taste among the human race. Too bad you're not in their shoes living such prosperous and glamorous life, eh? ;op
