The 13th annual Mr. Lower East Side Pageant is back to decide on a glamorous male to reign the neighborhood. The extravaganza will include swimsuit, 1-minute talent, and evening wear competitions. The event, hosted by Reverend Jen, promises to have special celebrity judges present, so come down for the festivities!

The Guggenheim will play host to the New York City Opera this weekend, as they perform excerpts from Rufus Wainwright's first venture into opera with what critics are praising as a "love song to opera, soaked in the perennial operatic themes of loss, betrayal, delusion and nostalgia."

Asphalt Orchestra Celebrate The Met's New American Wing

Kick off the weekend with three special performances at the Met on Friday, as Asphalt Orchestra helps celebrate the opening of the museum's New American Wing. The "radical new street band" will feature music from Frank Zappa, Stew and Heidi Rodewald, and more.

Kevin Spacey reunites with director Sam Mendes for a riveting performance of Richard III at BAM. As the title role, Spacey plays the the villainous king in the final production of The Bridge Project, a three-year collaboration between BAM, The Old Vic, and Neal Street.
