White Castle Valentine's Day Reservations Still Available, For Now

Nothing quite says Valentine's Day like an evening at White Castle.

For the sixth year in a row, the fast food chain will be transforming itself for the holiday by offering a sit-down dining experience.

Decked out with red table cloths, plastic flowers and "charming decorations," this will certainly be an evening to remember, especially with free dessert included, notes TIME. Diners will also get "a free downloadable and sharable photo" of the dining experience.

Best of all, for those excited to impress their dates with a trip to the burger chain but worried about the crowds, White Castle is offering reservations for the special evening, according to its Facebook page.

But if you really love White Castle (and, ahem, your date) why not consider tying the knot at the famed American burger joint.

In 2009, a couple married on Valentine's Day at the chain's largest restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky.

Other White Castle weddings have also taken place in Michigan and Ohio.

For those who do manage to get a reservation, Gothamist advises White Castle lovers not forget to bring along a few antacid pills.

I don't eat fast food very often, but sometimes love old fashioned "grease burgers." After reading the comments here I'm thinking I need to try White Castle again for the first time. Tried them only once 25 years ago in high school and wasn't too impressed, but that could be I didn't like onions too well then. There's a WC three blocks from my house here in Chicago and I never once thought about stopping there, but now I'm going to cross over to the other side and give them a try. I grew up in Kansas City where Winstead's rules as the old school type burger place. Best "steak burgers" ever and I must have one within minutes whenever I'm back visiting. What Johnie Rockets in South Beach and Chicago maybe were trying to be, but failed miserably. Never have found an old style burger place here in Chicago. Steak and Shake is maybe a pale, bland facsimile.

growing up in new jersey we used to call them "murder burgers", nothing tastes better at 130 am than six murder burgers,fries and a soda. great value ... flatulence free of charge ...

I know. They don't have any here in Alaska. Somehow the frozen ones just aren't the same. You have to have the ambiance -- the onions, the ladies with the cardboard hats pinned in their hair -- I miss them! We would have bomber runs every New Year's Eve. I was the designated driver, so I made the run in an ice storm once in the late 70s. Nothing kept us from out bombers!

i went too white castle once...i can't understand how anyone eats there it was horrible and i was stoned and starving...i ended up sucking on a dirty sweat sock to get the taste out of my mouth....true story.

White Castle sandwiches are NOT a bargain, and taste awful. If you want a better value and a better taste, go to McD's and order a McDouble. $1.00 where I live and more meat, with cheese, and tastier.

When I was in college there was a White Castle Resturant 110 miles from our College campus. Back then you could buy a White Castle Hamburger for 25 Cents. We would scrape together $100 and purchase 400 White Castle burgers. Bring them back to the College Dorm and sell them for 50 Cents each. It was an easy way to earn Money.

However, I can't imagine a woman wanting to be amorous with you if your idea of a big Valentines Date is to take her to White Castle. So, unless you live in Ohio where they recently started experimenting with Serving Alcohol at White Castle, choose Chuckie Cheese, they do Serve Alcohol.

I grew up in New Jersey (and had many a burger at WC) but I now live on the west coast. Whenever I go back east to visit, I stop at a White Castle that's on the way from Newark Airport to my hometown, Freehold. Nothing beats a bunch of WC burgers. McDonalds? No. Burger King? Ah, hell, no! Jack-in-the-box? I-don't-think-so. White Castle rules!

They need to open one in Pennsylvania first! WTH - North Jersey has like 5 of them but Pa has ZERO.

Just plain dumb - I wonder how good they would do if they franchised like McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King and Taco Bell!

Love White Castles...grew up in MI where they were available...moved to IN and begged WC to build in the Ft. Wayne area...was told they need 10 locations in the area which I gladly informed them about. Told them they would do well in all 10 areas...they never built in Ft. Wayne. If you want WC's you need to go to the Indy area. Meanwhile they have a Powers hamburger joint in the downtown Ft. Wayne area that is close to the WC taste and does very, very well for business.
