Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo became household names back in the late '90s thanks to shoe-crazed heroine Carrie Bradshaw. As seasons passed and Carrie's taste in shoes progressed, we started seeing her kick up her red-soled heels; the legacy of Christian Louboutin was born.

In recent years we've seen a slew of new shoe designers come to the market, and we couldn't be happier. We will always bow down to masters like Blahnik and Louboutin, but it's nice to see some fresh talent hit the scene. Though these guys are every bit as expensive as their predecessors, they're worth the investment. Just like Carrie Bradshaw who returned to her beloved "Choos" in the second installment of "Sex And The City: The Movie," we always have a place in our hearts for those Blahniks that we worked all those extra hours for.
