Michael Cicci Death At Tilted Kilt Pub In Schaumburg A Suicide, Police Say

Suicide Outside Tilted Kilt Pub In Schaumburg

Police say the gunshot that killed a man outside a Schaumburg "breastaurant" was self-inflicted.

Two police officers spoke with Michael Cicci, 27, outside the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery on Higgins Road late Sunday, where Cicci was wielding a gun, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Sometime after 10:30 p.m., Cicci turned the gun on himself, and at 10:49 he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

Police described Cicci, of Palatine, as "despondent" at the scene, Schaumburg police Sgt. John Nebl told WGN Chicago.

Schaumburg police are investigating the incident. Police say it is not yet clear whether customers were inside the pub at the time of the shooting, NBC Chicago reports.
