Sarah Palin: Chris Christie Got His 'Panties In A Wad' Over Newt Gingrich

Fox News commentator Sarah Palin chided New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Monday, following a weekend interview in which Christie referred to GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich as an "embarrassment to the party."

"Poor Chris. This was a rookie mistake. He played right into the media's hands," Palin said, according to an advance transcript of an interview set to air Monday night at 10 p.m. eastern time on FOX Business Network. "Here's a host that asked Chris, 'Does Newt embarrass the party.' I think he asked him twice, and there Chris played right into it and spewed that about Newt embarrassing the party."

"Sometimes if your candidate loses in just one step along this path, as was the case when Romney lost to Newt the other night and of course, Romney is Chris Christie's guy, you kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later," she continued.

Palin went on to call his statement an instance of a "lack of self-discipline" on Christie's part. She also suggested that Christie had his share of moments that could be considered embarrassing to the GOP, such as "taking a state helicopter to his kid's baseball game."

While the majority of Palin's criticism toward Christie appears to be directed at his handling of the interview, she has been both talking up and defending Gingrich over the past few weeks. She said she still wasn't ready to endorse anyone following Gingrich's win in South Carolina over the weekend, but she simultaneously explained her husband Todd's endorsement of the former speaker in favorable terms.

Before the South Carolina contest, Palin also boosted Gingrich by saying she would "vote for Newt" in the Palmetto State to keep the primary process to going. She also predicted -- accurately as it turned out -- that the interview in which Gingrich's ex-wife claimed he had asked her for an open marriage would help him "soar even more."

And the affection hasn't gone unreciprocated. Gingrich has praised Palin at various times on the campaign trail, suggesting that she could play a "major role" as he continues his quest for the White House -- perhaps a vice presidential candidate or cabinet secretary.

The Wasillahillbillies have written the book when it comes to lack of self discipline. Graduating after six years in six community colleges doesn't exactly say that you are a genius. FOX reporters feel it is punishment when assigned to tutoring this Celebrity Wannabee about the questions she will be asked in the interview and she still flunks the well rehearsed answers. Not being able to remember Joe's last name for the VP debate should have been a hint about how dumb Palin was!

Gotta thank you, "Senator" McCain, for bringing the Alaskan Half-Governor Potty Mouth to our attention. You must be proud.

He actually said it was the best decision he ever made. Wonder how Cindy feels about that statement. I think it's time for the former maverick to hightail it back to his homes, if he can remember how to find them.

McCain "hightailed" it with a bunch of aircraft that belonged to Uncle Sam, with results only the son of an admiral could get away with.
But at least he didn't finish last at the Academy... There were five "graduates" more stupid than he.

Why do they even print anything she says she's so over and no one really cares what she thinks.

Chris Christie certainly seems to be doing fine without the Quitter's advice. She craps her panties every day and whines about something that is in the news--would be far better and less smelly if she just put those Depends in a wad.

The idea that this clueless, uncouth woman could have been a heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world is just mind-boggling. "Panties in a wad"? Really? Good grief.

Here's one woman who'd probably know more about having her panties in a wad than anyone around...and publicly so....

I'm just trying to imagine the size of those panties on Christie, but my mind it just telling me to forget about it....

Anybody who's not embarrassed by Newt should be embarrassed!

Is she that dense that she doesn't realize that this may be the plan all along, to push Newt to the nomination? lmao

I wonder what Gingrich promised Palin. Her reality show went bust so she needs a job.
