The Kills Tear It Up At Chicago's Riviera Theatre (PHOTOS)

Raucous art-rock twosome The Kills kicked off their latest tour across the Atlantic with a reportedly sensual showing at Chicago's Riviera Theatre Friday.

The Kills, comprising Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, just launched their latest onslaught of U.S. tour dates in support of their April 2011 release "Blood Pressures," a moody, sauntering album that's received heaps of critical praise and fan adoration.

In person, though, the duo kicks it up a notch. At their previous performance in Chicago, at Lollapalooza, they unleashed their trademark unhinged, voyeuristic quality on the masses on a hot August afternoon.

By comparison, the bitterly cold, blizzard-like Chicago weather served as a more fitting background for a Kills show Friday. According to Bob Gendron in the Chicago Tribune, the two "reacted to one another's movements as if joined at the hip, their bond yielding interpretive choreographic showmanship that could've passed as part of a Hubbard Street Dance performance."

The Brooklyn Vegan notes that, in addition to playing new tracks off "Blood Pressures" and older offerings from "Keep on Your Mean Side and "No Wow," the duo also unleashed an unexpected cover of Willie Nelson's "Crazy."

The Kills' tour continues its cross-country voyage through Feb. 11, when the duo hits Terminal 5 in New York.
