Tom Cruise In Talks To Star In Doug Liman's 'All You Need Is Kill'

Tom Cruise Might Play An Alien-Fighting Soldier

Between his roles in "Rock Of Ages," "One Shot," and "Horizons," Tom Cruise is one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. And according to director Doug Liman, he's about to get busier.

In an interview with Collider, the "Bourne Identity" director revealed that he hoped to nab Tom Cruise for his next film, "All You Need Is Kill" with Warner Bros. "It's just figuring out everyone's schedules," Liman said.

In the science fiction thriller, Cruise would play a soldier who keeps coming back after being killed after an epic battle with aliens, which Liman couldn't be more excited for. The film is an adaptation of the graphic novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.

"I just fell in love with the script. There is no other formula for me, in this business. If I'm not in love with the script, there's nothing," he said.

In the meantime, Liman is focusing on his show "Covert Affairs" and the upcoming 20-somethings-living-in-Brooklyn TV series "I Just Want My Pants Back."
