'Caged': Victory For 'Golden Boy' Daniel (VIDEO)

Can Daniel's Victory On 'Caged' Erase His Bad Memories?

Unlike some of the other fighters featured on "Caged" (Mon., 10 p.m. EST on MTV) cage-fighting is not Daniel's only option in life. The "golden boy" of the group is lucky enough to have supportive, wealthy parents.

However, Daniel has been in the emotional doldrums since his first love, Hannah McFarland, was killed in an automobile accident in 2007. In cage-fighting and the discipline and self-respect that goes along with it, he thinks he may have found a way of making something of himself.

Each year, the anniversary of Hannah's death has filled Daniel and her family and friends with anguish, but he vowed to change that. Convinced that a victory for him in the cage on her anniversary would help all of them, he trained hard and set himself the goal of winning on that date.

He set to work on his opponent in the cage, and after a hard-fought bout a jubilant Daniel was declared the winner. What did the victory mean to him? "I needed it. ... We all needed it," he said. "I'm just glad I got to do something to remake the memories of this day."
