Northwestern Journalism School Invites 'I Can Has Cheezburger?' CEO To Discuss Industry's Future

'I Can Has Cheezburger?' The Future Of Journalism?

Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism is hosting a lecture on the future of journalism Tuesday, led by the CEO of the web company that owns the "I Can Haz Cheezburger?" and "FAIL Blog" sites.

Ben Huh, a Medill alumnus who heads the Cheezburger Network, will discuss "The Next 5 Years of Journalism vs. The Next 25 Years in Journalism: What Will Be Different? What Will Be The Same" at the university's Evanston campus at 3 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public.

The school's position at the intersection of old-school journalism and "new media" has been a hotly debated issue in Chicago and in larger media circles, the apex of which was the college's recent name change to the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications.
