Alicia Keys Birthday: The Singer Turns 31, Style Evolution (PHOTOS)

We've had a love affair with Alicia Keys ever since she stole our hearts with the mega hit "Fallin" in 2001.

Keys' powerhouse voice has earned her 14 Grammys, five American Music Awards and countless other accolades--while her superstar style and killer curves have made her one of our favorite fashionistas.

The New York native was known for her cornrows and daring ensembles (not many ladies can pull off pairing jeans with an evening gown) when she first stepped on the scene. Since then Keys has polished her look while still staying true to her edgy urban style.

After all, she is a rock star!

Wow! Great pics! Love the evolution of her style. Every step of the way. I especially love seeing her in hats. There aren't a lot of women who can pull off a Fedora, but she makes it look goooood! Happy Birthday!
