Jean Paul Gaultier Amy Winehouse-Inspired Show Features Beehive Hair, Bridal Veils (PHOTOS)

From the beehive hair and the cat-eye liner to the varsity jackets, corset tops and cigarettes, Jean Paul Gaultier's couture show was all about Amy Winehouse.

The fallen songstress, who died this past summer at the age of 27, was the clear inspiration behind Gaultier's Spring 2012 couture offering. The models, including Gaultier fave Andrej Pejic, sauntered down the Paris runway in wedges and hair 'dos of equally towering proportions.

Towards the end, their faces were covered in what Vogue UK described as "lace mourning mantilla veils."

But the mood wasn't all somber and ended on a striking note: an Amy Winehouse doppleganger in a bridal veil and what we can only imagine would have been her choice of wedding dress.

Check out Gaultier's homage to Amy below.
