Modern Day Exorcisms Performed In Mexico City (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 01/25/2012 2:36 pm Updated: 01/25/2012 3:03 pm

The New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia describes an exorcism as "the act of driving out, or warding off, demons, or evil spirits, from persons, places, or things, which are believed to be possessed or infested by them." To many, exorcisms are most familiar as the plot line in the Hollywood 1973 classic "The Exorcist" and more recently "The Rite" . However, many of the faithful take exorcisms very seriously and the Catholic Church held a conference about exorcisms as recently as 2010. However, rarely do people get to see what an exorcism actually looks like. In these photos, pastors at the Church of the Divine Saviour on the outskirts of Mexico City perform exorcism rituals on afflicted church-goers.

If the Catholic Church wanted its followers to have as little demonic influence in their lives as possible they would take some of their incredible wealth and have their Bible recorder in the languages of all of their believers on CD collection, DVD and MP3CD so they could all listen to it as many times as possible in order to get Our Creator's view on all matters and they would give it free to all. I have many different recorded copies, 3 in Spanish. The cheapest place I have found a commercially made recorded copy is ChristianBook.Com, but I understand it can be downloaded free on the net.

Well, I'm a vampire slayer.

Notice how they aren't any vampires out there?

Yeah, and the reason you don't see any of them: I'm obviously very good at my job.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. That's the line trotted out by theists in their straw man battle when they say something like "Just because you cannot see God, does not mean he does not exist".

So then, how does one determine that a demon has been removed from the body? How do these people tell that the demon has been successfully exorcised?

After all the demon is quite clever, and maybe just quiet. So why would you ever stop exorcising? Absence of evidence of a demon is surely not evidence of absence, unless you have double standards.

Successful de-demoning is determined by the loudness of the clank of coins in the collection plate.

Amen. It should give anyone pause if they consider the fact that Christianity was started by men who went around doing the same thing as these charlatans.

Both when I was a priest and now as a spiritual (not religious) person, I have seen some pretty interesting things that were inexplicable by either mental illness or natural causes. That having been said, I think that some of these religions attribute far too much to demonic powers. In many case, it is our own darkness that calls darkness, natural or supernatural, around us. Most of the time what we do that is selfish, vicious, nasty, or even murderous is from plain human cussedness, and not anything to do with any supernatural powers. Our own lameness explains almost everything.

As usual, these inexplicable things are never mentioned, much less documented and recorded. `Believe me' is very lame evidence, especially when it comes from someone who is confirmed to be credulous.

A lot more entertaining than credulous buffoons messing with the health of the mentally ill.
11:26 PM on 01/30/2012
If it is a case of people "messing with the health of the mentally ill" then I would agree with you completely! That would be deplorable. But what if it isn't? I am not saying whether I think this case is real or not, only that there are many who would see it as something more that just biological. Not believing in it does not make it untrue any more than believing it makes it true.

Personally its not God I dislike, its his fan club I cant stand.

The church has always been willing to swap off treasures in heaven for cash down.”

"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."

You are about as likely to go to heaven, as I am to go to hell.

All Gods are created equally through imagination.

Nothing will make you an atheist faster than reading the bible.

Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived

Praying is like seating in a rocking chair it will give you something to do. But it wont take anywhere

"Remember, Jesus would rather constantly shame gays than let orphans have a family."

If money is the root of all evil, why does the church need so much money?

God made me an atheist. Who are you to question his wisdom?

If there were a satan that decided to possess the body of a humanite, wouldn't he do something un-natural to prove his presence and power? Turn joints backwards, remove eyeballs, set hair aflame? Instead, these "possessed" people can only scream, cry, twist, swear, vomit, etc. All human reactions and indicators of metal or physical illness.

What are you describing of what should be is what is portrayed in Hollywood, and any mature and intelligent person would know that Hollywood is most of the time far from reality including exorcism movies. Satan is not here to prove his presence and power. If so then that means there must be a God. The last thing Satan wants is for his actions to prove there is a God. Satan does his most damage deceivingly, such as how many people blame God for their misfortunes and the troubles of this world. If you read the Christian Bible some of the demon-possessed people are as dangerous as you suspect them to be. Though not all possessions have to be the same.
04:33 PM on 01/29/2012
I've never watched an exorcism movie.

As far as blaming god for misfortunes: I recently crashed my car because I slid on black ice, even though the road was mostly bare and wet and the local temperature had not dipped to freezing. People told me that god prevented a worse accident, where people may have been injured or killed. I said that I did everything I knew to be a safe driver, and that it was god that caused the crash. The fact that it was not an injury situation is because I was able to correct the steering of the car in a way that prevented it. God caused the crash, I saved myself, I tell them.

The truth is, there is no god, no demons, no satan. People ascribe super powers to situations that they shouldn't because they don't understand physics, physiology or reality. Mentally disturbed people cry out and act out, and are treated as though they are possessed by demons. It's silly and superstitious and laughable.

Wait, you need to decide whether Satan is clever or dumb. If people can tell that a body is possessed, he is rather dumb.

Otherwise, how can you be sure that you are not possessed?

Looking at those photos reminded me of 'another day at the office' (where I work). It's not that bad...but sometimes it feels like it is.

These are not pictures of exorcism, these are pictures of mental patients who are not getting proper medical treatment. Instead they are being manipulated by fairy tales and snake oil salesmen.

Usually snake oil salesmen would get out of town before the locals found out what useless snake oil he was selling. Guess we're more gullible than the Old West.

The only difference between the mentally ill and true believers is that one is a natural occurance and the other self induced.

The first exorcism I gave was in May 1998, while teaching Love Energy Techniques in New England. I was enjoying a quiet moment outside when the woman whose home I was staying in during my visit, rushed up to me, said, “You’d better come inside!”, and quickly walked back inside the rented hall.

I walked inside and found people gathered in small groups finishing their catered lunch. Everything looked normal. Then, I saw at the far side of the room, a man was sitting in a chair, a man standing behind him and a man sitting on the floor beside him, with a strange look on his face. My Holy Spirit’s Spiritual Energy Fields of Consciousness were fully energized from teaching, and when the man in the chair saw me, an unearthly scream erupted from him. His eyes turned bright red and green stuff came from his nose.

People in the hall, who hadn’t prayed in 20 years, were suddenly on their knees, praying. Unfortunately I had no training in exorcisms, since all North American Desposyni Elder Brothers and Sisters were assassinated in the 19th century, (more details at www.DesposyniChurch.org).

Fortunately, in 1997 I had discovered Jesus’ esoteric wisdom in documents he left to me and knew exactly what to do. I walked up to the man as snarls erupted and green stuff flowed, told him how to breathe in Love Energies, and upon touching his Soul with Rapture level Love Energies, the demon inside him instantly left

Brecia Veonne Bloom, Unlike Protestant Christians, who left the Catholic Church with only a copy of Roman Emperor Constantine's Bible and have "to believe", I do not to have to believe what I wrote, I lived it.

And so it was that upon seeing my spiritual abilities, in 1998, an auto industry leasing executive quit her job to help me train people for the Physical Body Ascension that are prophesized in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 23. She is the one listed on our www.DesposyniChurch.org website as:
North American female: Has successfully given hundreds of exorcisms and trained others to do the same in India, Canada, Tahiti, Egypt, France, USA, Scotland and elsewhere. (Former auto industry leasing executive.)
