Joe Biden Speaks With Accent To Imitate Call Service Employees In New Hampshire Speech

Vice President Joe Biden used an accent to imitate call service employees during a speech on Thursday.

"How many times you get the call, 'I like to talk to you about your credit card?'" Biden said during an outsourcing speech in New Hampshire, employing the accent while imitating what he referred to as employees of "call centers rushed overseas."

"Or that ad on TV, what is it? 'Nancy, this is Nancy, can I talk to a supervisor?'" Biden said, referring to a Discover ad campaign featuring a heavily-accented man who acts as a credit card company's customer service representative under the name "Peggy."

This isn't Biden's first accent gaffe. As a Delaware senator in 2006, Biden said "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent," sparking criticism among his peers in Washington.

I'm sure my friend that lost his job 2 years ago when it was outsourced to Indian was really offended... he hasn't been able to find a steady job since, but we should be more worried about if a man not in our country (who will most likely never even see or hear this) is offended more than we are about unemployment... Are we pretending that call centers aren't manned by Indians now? Not seeing the controversy...

Vice President Biden was man enough to say what the majority of us grinch about every day. I get so angry at the solicitation calls from people who can't speak the most basic of the English language (and I'm on a Do Not Call List!) I also get madder than a hornet when I call for Customer Service and get some nit wit like "Peggy" on the DISCOVER commercial. This is a problem that cannot be blamed on President Obama, it started and escalated under the bloody outsourcing GOPer, TEABAG and BIRTHER Presidents.

Nah, actually it can be blamed principally on Clinton and the Democrats who just LOVED the whole NAFTA and GATT fiasco. They knew they were getting paid big-time when the pummeled that thing through. Perot and Buchanan were the only ones out there warning us about that one. America was the only real loser there.
Obama can't necessarily be blamed for all this - true enough. He's got plenty of other garbage that's his fault.
