It's rare we see Rihanna dressed in more then a swimsuit, hot pants and a t-shirt these days. But say what you will about her sense of style--the singer is quickly become a fashion industry darling.
The 23-year-old singer is the face of Armani Jeans along with Emporio Armani underwear and has been dressed by fashion giants such a Jean Paul Gaultier to Stella McCartney.
So with her style star soaring high, Rihanna has inked a deal with UK's Sky Living Network to executive produce a Project Runway-esque reality show. Although the program isn't a titled yet, it's set to hit the UK small screen this summer (no word if we'll be able to view the show in the states, but there's always YouTube.)
"I've always had a great love of fashion. It's a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I've grown into the person and artist I am today," Rihanna told Sky Living.
The show will follow the superstar as she travels Britain in search of talented and undiscovered fashion designers. Nicola Roberts, of the London based pop group Girls Aloud, was tapped by Rihanna to serve as the show's host who will take the hand-picked group for designers through a series of challenges to determine an ultimate winner.
The prize? The opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind outfit for Rihanna to perform in during the Wireless Festival at London's Hyde Park this July.
It's not Project Runway's $100,000 check to start their own collection, but dressing one of the most famous women in the world will certainly attract some attention and hopefully stardom.
