Police Commissioner Ray Kelly Tackles Son Greg Kelly's Rape Scandal And Anti-Muslim Video

While Mayor Bloomberg trots around town with the cast of Gossip Girl, his police commissioner Ray Kelly is having what we can only assume is the worst week of his decade as Police Commissioner.

First, the NYPD was hit with a public relations bomb, revealing the department used an anti-Muslim propaganda film to train 1,500 officials for almost a year. Then on Thursday, Kelly's son and co-host of Fox's "Good Day New York," Greg Kelly, was accused of raping a New York woman.

Rounding out Kelly's week in hell, it appears as though the police commissioner is determined to ride out the storm, refusing to step down from his top ranking position, despite his admission that the anti-Muslim film The Third Jihad was "inflammatory" and "a little much."

"A little much" is perhaps understating the anger felt by those in the Muslim community who are demanding for Kelly's resignation with one Muslim cleric stating, "Terrorism is an evil that must be eliminated, but one cannot fight wrong with wrong."

"Xoxo"-tweeting Bloomberg assailed the use of the film as a case of "terrible judgment," but dismissed a need for a resignation and said, "You know, Ray Kelly probably visits more mosques than a lot of other people who believe in the faith and practice there," he said.

Adding, "Ray's got to work at establishing, re-establishing or reinforcing the credibility that he does have."

The Commish stepped out in front of the media for the first time on Friday and told reporters that wouldn't discuss the accusations against his son. "I'm not going to ... with all due respect, answer any questions on this matter."
