For a little while, I thought the Heat highlight reel of the 2011-12 season would get somewhat repetitive. Not to say Miami's games aren't extremely entertaining, but how many times can I go nuts over a crazy alley-oop from Wade to James and vise versa? It's not like the finesse and power varies that often. It would have to get old at some point, right?

Wrong. The alley-oop in the first quarter of Miami's 97-93 win over Chicago on Sunday showed just how wrong I was. In what seemed like it would be a routine offensive possession for the Heat, LeBron James actually did something I had never seen him do before. While Chris Bosh had the ball at the top of the key and LeBron starting on the wing, Wade used a screen to get the ball beyond the arc to Bosh's left. At that point, LeBron used a backdoor screen from Mario Chalmers and attacked the basket from the baseline.

Wade threw up the alley-oop pass despite Bulls backup point guard John Lucas getting in the way of James' path.

That didn't really matter for the two-time MVP.

James leaped directly over the 5'11 guard and slammed it in with one hand, sending the home crowd into a frenzy. It was the last of three dunks Wade had set James up for in the first seven minutes of the game.

I think it's safe to say that these two points out of his game-high 35 will be replayed for a while.
