Jessica Hoppe, Blogger Behind 'Having It All' Has Become That Girl Who Shows Baby Pictures At Parties (PHOTOS)

She's That Girl Who Shows Baby Pictures At Parties

Stylelist is about all kinds of fashion for all kinds of women. So in our Stylelist Blogger Network (which you should check out if you haven't already), we've teamed up with some of our best style bloggers and sites. Over the following weeks, we'll be introducing you to its members with these Q&As.

We are happy to present to you Jessica Hoppe of Having It All, a jet-setting blogger with a sick jewelry collection:

What's your one fashion regret?
I must have owned 1,000 pieces from Contempo Casuals or "Contempo" as a young girl. I regret not saving a single one!

Who influences your style?
It's not so much who, but what. As I've gotten older the main influence has become my background and culture. I find myself drawn to things that accentuate who I am and where I come from. For example, I designed my signature cuffs from a photograph of my mother in Honduras during the '70s.

Who are your favorite designers?
I like to say jewelry designer Sam Kramer is my soul mate. Also, I've been a huge fan of Alexander Wang since the day I found his collection in the corner of Opening Ceremony -- that was when you couldn't find it anywhere else! Each and every one of Wang's pieces in my closet are treated like my children. I can't forget to mention Jenni Kayne or Phoebe Philo for Celine. Plus, Christophe Decarnin for Balmain -- anyone who can make major shoulder pads the shit is obviously a genius!

What are the five essentials in your closet?
Yves Saint Laurent booties, Givenchy Nightingale satchel, mini skirt, Grai leather jacket, crisp white top and the jewelry I wear as armor.

Who takes your photographs?
My boyfriend was the person who sat me down one day and made me start my blog after quitting my job as a buyer -- so in the beginning he was my main photographer. My friend Corrine and I also stage shoots every few weeks. She has an impeccable eye.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog because I wanted to be a writer. I worked as a buyer for many years at Ralph Lauren, Intermix and Gilt and arrived at a moment where I realized being a buyer was not my dream. I made the choice to become a professional writer and blogging was a way to practice. And you know what they say: practice makes perfect.

What are your interests aside from blogging?
These days the only thing I want to do is spend time with my 2-year-old niece, Emma and 1-year-old nephew, Joshua. I've become that girl who shows baby pictures at parties.

I also love to travel -- which I would consider a way of life more than an interest. My boyfriend (who is based out of London) and I have conducted a bi-continental relationship for quite some time now, which takes me to Europe often. There is nothing better than being immersed in another country and culture -- it truly does changes your perspective on life. My readers really love the Euro-American blog posts!

Meanwhile, Jessica loves using Instagram. Check out our 11 favorite snaps from Having it All and keep scrolling to learn more.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I really know how to listen to others, which makes my content richer.

What is your beauty routine?
Exercise and sleep.

Which beauty products can you not live without?
I cannot live without my Kiehl's lip balm. I also use Kiehl's Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner which I apply by a travel-size spritz bottle -- it's the best way to wake up in the morning. I follow that up with Malin + Goetz moisturizer.

Can you explain the title of your blog?
This is how I explain it on my blog: "what is having it all? I have no idea but I do know it is a concept we are all after. The desire begins the first time you play M.A.S.H in grade school. Will you get that perfect guy, the best car, the dream job? And most importantly will you live in a mansion, apartment, shack or house? We like to think we grow up and want different things but it never really changes. We may trade the perfect pet for the perfect wardrobe but the basics remain the same. This is my journal chronicling my quest to achieve that illusive balance between work and play; love and money and simultaneously pursue spiritual growth. In a word: happiness."
