Jack Donaghy Would Vote For Mitt Romney, Alec Baldwin Says

If fictional endorsements are worth anything, chalk one up for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney: he's got the support of "30 Rock's" Jack Donaghy.

Alec Bladwin, the actor who plays the conservative NBC executive, told a Twitter follower late last week that "Jack would golf with, sail with and endorse Romney."

In a 2007 episode of "30 Rock" titled "Fireworks," Donaghy mentions hosting a fundraiser for Romney. Donaghy is active in Republican causes, idolizes Ronald Reagan and once dated former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

As for Baldwin, who won his sixth Screen Actors' Guild Award for playing Donaghy on Sunday, he is a well-known Democrat and activist for liberal-aligned causes. He has mused about running for office for years, and is supporting President Obama in the 2012 election.

I guess Jack is a lot smarter than Alec!!! :) But honestly, I am a 30 Rock addict, and I have bought the old versionsI missed on DVD. What a hilarious show. Tina is out of this world....gorgeous and funny. Alec (whether I love or hate his politics) is absolutely terrific. And the rest of the cast is amazing.....ranks among my all-time facvorite sitcoms...and I am NOT a television fan! :)

Ahh... rabid fans. Before the big day, they're all confident. "THE GIANTS WILL CRUSH NEW ENGLAND!!!!" Then, mysteriously, they disappear after they're wrong. "What? I didn't say that. You must be thinking of someone else."

I think it can go either way. Obama has lost a lot of support from independents, and he's going to have a hard time winning them back. There's no way he'll get the turnout that he got in 2008. If it were anyone but Mitt I would agree with you. But Mitt could easily win back key states that Obama narrowly won in 2008.

Well, I have confidence in Obama staying right where he is for four more years. Look what happen in 2006 when we had an Idzit for a president with poll numbers in the low 40's and the idzit STILL won the election. It ain't easy to defeat an incumbent.

I've never seen this sitcom. Never heard of Jack Donaghy. I would imagine that Alec Baldwin thinks we all follow his every move and watch his every moment on television.
