Oh, and, what I would want for Valentine's Day (if I were dating anyone). Just for fun.

Dinner at a nice restaurant in the city. Somewhere where a) you have to make reservations at least a week in advance and b) I can wear a dress and heels :)

Maybe flowers or chocolates too and a movie after. Then, some sweet love-making after that and permission to cuddle while falling asleep. Cuddling being key.

Is that lame?

Not at all! Sounds like fun. Last year I kidnapped my husband and took him on a romantic ski weekend. He liked that so much we're doing it again this year.

Ski weekend!!! That sounds amazing! It's on my list of things to do before I die.
I'll probably end up getting hurt, hating it or crying, but I still want to go -- if not for the warm hot chocolate and fireside chats afterward!

The first part I can do, the second -- not so sure.
I have a problem doing what anyone says all day. Not to mention, isn't Valentine's Day about both people in the couple -- and not just one of the people? If the woman does what the man says all day, what does she get in return?

I am liking the brownies and the liquor glasses but not so sure more men would appreciate some of these other ideas. I'm a fan of Etsy but my gut is most of the stores appeal more to women then men. I really like a few of the ideas on this list, including the Personalized Transit Scrolls (which is from Etsy) and the Instagram Photos on Canvas from CanvasPop.
