7 Slowed-Down Kids' Shows: From Cute To Creepy (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 01/31/2012 9:06 am   Updated: 01/31/2012 9:06 am

We all fondly remember the TV shows we watched as children. Whether it was Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Peanuts, or Spongebob, these programs forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Unfortunately, we have to tarnish your fond memories by presenting those same shows digitally slowed down and turned into, in some cases, the most haunting, disturbing visual and auditory experiences imaginable. We promise you'll never look at Elmo the same way again. Enjoy!

I love Peanuts slowed down. It's a sound between Glass, Pärt and some movie score. Creepy but cool.

I didn't bother to watch but since you didn't credit Wolfgore (search wolfgore on youtube) for any of this then it's a blatant rip-off. He did it first and his stuff is brilliantly twisted and hilarious.

OMG! The mega-slow Vice Guaraldi jazz riff for "Peanuts" is, if nothing else, a perfect 75 birthday present for Philip Glass!

Hey, I actually like Philip Glass (someone needs to stand up to him.) I thought it sounded more like the more frightening pieces from 2001: A Space Oddysey.
