First Posted: 02/ 1/2012 8:39 am Updated: 02/ 1/2012 11:33 am

Have you ever been to church and seen the light? Well at the recent Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium, the Luminarie De Cagna created an LED cathedral that lit up the entire city of Belfortstraat with a glowing psychedelic aura. The result is arguably beautiful enough to make anybody a believer.

The LED Cathedral mixes Romanesque and Renaissance architecture with glowing rainbow ornamentation. It stands 91 feet tall at its peak and is made of 55,000 LED lights. Check out the astounding light display below, and tell us this isn't divine!

Now I could get into going to church again if that was a part of regular mass...and maybe pot brownies at a little pre-mass session?

Beautiful, but not the kind of thing that should make anybody a "believer".

Show me the light! We could all lighten up a bit- dont' you think?! If we used solar probably wouldn't cost so much- there is plenty of energy out there- (Scienctist tell me) however, we haven't been smart enouph to capture it.

Kewl! But how many of the poor could have been served for what they paid for this? Isn't that supposed to be a bigger part of their mission? It just proves that religions in more entertainment and self-aggrandizement than charity. Not that I am against art. But most often even religious art was the product of self-inflated patrons. Often the religious themselves. I might even come to respect some religions if they walked the walk.

Very beautiful, undeniably. But why is this in the religion instead of the art section?

Divine inspiration is a beautiful thing. Maybe it doesn't solve the world's problems but it makes you smile.

Like moths to the "flame" of an artificial light and probably its artificial righteousness rather than to the true Scriptural light of the Holy Scriptures and its righteous standards. It seems they have taken the pulse of the public and made a choice to entice the vulnerable so they can get some of their money allotted to entertainment.

It's very pretty, but it will take more then the work of man to make me believe in a power beyond man.
