Fashion's obsession with animals is nothing new. Years ago Stella McCartney put horses on pieces in her spring 2001 collection for Chloe. Last year Miuccia Prada emblazoned her skirts with monkeys, and we saw Madonna walk the Venice Film Festival red carpet in a Vionnet gown adorned with red sequined birds.
All the hubbub around Jason Wu's lower-priced line for Target has got us thinking of cats, an animal we love here at Stylelist. Wu, inspired by the elegant nonchalance of his feline friends, added a black cat to one of his totes for the retailer, and his cat Milu is the face of the line. While Wu's line won't launch for two more days (February 5th, online and in-stores), we dug around for some kitty couture (sorry, we had to) to tide us over in the meantime.
