Kevin Bacon To Star In Kevin Williamson's Fox Pilot

Kevin Bacon Tv Show

Posted: 02/ 1/2012 5:55 pm

Now that Kyra Sedgwick has ended her seven-season run on TV, it seems fitting that her Hollywood husband Kevin Bacon would finally make his serious primetime television debut in a starring role on Kevin Williamson's untitled drama pilot for Fox, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the site, Williamson's TV thriller will center on a "diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers and an FBI agent -- played by Bacon -- who finds himself in the middle of it."

The "Footloose" star has reportedly made a commitment of 15 episodes per season, instead of the traditional 22. However, if Fox does greenlight the series, the project wouldn't necessarily see a 15-episode first season, reports a source close to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bacon's latest TV credits include a voiceover role in "Robot Chicken" and a guest appearance, as himself, in HBO's recently axed comedy "Bored to Death."

They probably need the money since they were victims of Bernie Madoff!

No, it's more like no one is going to the movies, so Hollywood is going to TV. Doesn't matter, I'll just not watch the channels with the liberal Hollywood gang. Notice they are all selling homes!

I"ve watched Kevin in everything he's done. I watch "THE CLOSER" every day and I am going to MISS Kyra and the whole cast of 'THE CLOSER'. These two are a team and work at being together and it shows. Good luck Kevin in the new chapter in your life, Love you BOTH.

Love Kyra on the Closer, Kevin is a pretty good actor.

Got kinda turned off on Kevin when he said in an interview that
he liked to walk around the house naked, and front of his kids. Ewee!!

He played a recurring role as an alcoholic teen on the soap Guiding Light many years ago, so he's been in a TV series before.

There is the Summer season of the Closer, and then it is over.

As for this new "idea", I will not be watching it. There is enough viciousness on TV without watching it propagate.

I love this couple. Beautiful, talented and they appear devoted to each other. Love Kyra in the Closer, I will miss her terribly. Love Kevin in all films, the Woodsman was a great role, painful but he did a great job. Good for them!

Seems like I've heard there will be an abbreviated (9 episode) run this summer and then it'll be done. It's just about the only TV program I always make a point to watch, so I'll miss the characters.

Many missed one of his best performances in "The Woodsman" a very good film and well acted by the whole cast.

He was also good on his comedic guest shot on Will and Grace tv show some years back. Kevin is quite versatile.

I know Tremors is one of those corny movies, but I love it! Mostly due to Kevein Bacon's role in it! Don't ever give up acting Kevin, even if it is on small screen!

I like Bacon and Sedgwick but both could use a few good meals to put some meat on their skinny little bones.

Kevin Bacon is one of those best kept secrets in Hollywood. He is a hoot at light comedy and will just be wasted on a FOX (yawn) crime drama.

Voice of a robot chicken, guest appearance on a defunct show. Jeez. That's what he's been doing lately? I guess he was waiting for his wife's show to be over before actually looking for work. I have always liked KB and still do, I don't know why he never became a bigger star.

Noooo! Kevin Bacon deserves a series on HBO, Showtime, etc., not a crappy public TV channel.

He will probably make more money on broadcast TV than on a low budget cable channel.
