Melissa Harris-Perry's MSNBC Show Gets Title And New Date

MSNBC contributor Melissa Harris-Perry has a new show with a premiere date and title.

The self-titled show, "Melissa Harris-Perry" will debut on Saturday, February 18. MSNBC originally announced that Harris-Perry's new show would debut on Saturday, February 4. Harris-Perry joins the network's weekend coverage. Her show will air on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The show will consist of a panel and what the network called "guest-driven conversation" that focus on national politics. The show will also "explore the intersections of culture, art and community issues."

MSNBC also tweaked it's weekend scheduling when it added Harris-Perry's new show. Chris Hayes' show, "Up With Chris," previously aired at different times on Saturdays and Sundays. It will now air on both days from 8-10:00 a.m. MSNBC weekend anchor Alex Witt will expand her live news coverage on Saturdays and Sundays. "Weekends with Alex Witt" will air from 7-8:00 a.m. on Saturdays, and 12-2:00 pm. on both Saturdays and Sundays.
