Lauren Scruggs, Model Who Walked Into Plane Propeller, Gets Prosthetic Eye

Lauren Scruggs Gets Prosthetic Eye

When last we checked in with Lauren Scruggs, the model was seen leaving the hospital, where she had been since walking into an airplane propeller in early December.

Scruggs had her eye surgically removed a few days after the accident, but according to People magazine, she has been fitted with a prosthetic.

On the blog Scruggs' family has been using to update well-wishers of her status, Scruggs' mother Cheryl wrote Thursday of the experience seeing an ocularist. "She was fitted and measured. The ocularist carefully painted and shaped the new eye. By 5pm, it was done, and her new eye was in place. It is beautiful," she posted.

According to ABC news, Scruggs will also have a follow-up appointment with the prosthetic arm specialist this week.
