His horse . It was nice to find a guy that had a horse so we could ride together . Also when he had a blowout ,. he just calmly changed it without complaint . And when a small child asked him to tie her shoe , he knelt down and did it without hesitation . We will be married 39 years this March and we still have horses ..

His sense of humor and his big heart! He and I went through school together from first grade to Seniors in high school. When he was in the second grade, he went home and told his mom that he was going to marry me. I thought that was just the sweetest thing that I had ever heard (even though I didn't admit it to him at the time). We've been together for 36 years and I love him more each and every day.

The first time I saw him smile I knew I had to make him mine. I thought I had never seen someone so genuine and kind looking. The fact that he was a smoking hottie didn't hurt. I went to walk into a store and he opened the door for me. He smiled and said someone as pretty as you should never have to open your own door. We were both dating other people at the time but couldn't deny the attraction. We have been together for 20 years now and every time I see one of our children smile I see him in ther beautiful faces.

I learned quickly that I am better off without any Woman in my life. It is much less Stressful. However, I guess I am going to raise a Woman. That part of my life is really fun and rewarding.

1st impression: His honesty, the twinkle in his eyes, and his smile.
2nd impression: He was a real gentleman, who showed me respect, caring.
3rd impression: Trustworthy, sincere, loyal, a real man - not just a boy trying to be a man.
4th impression: His intelligence and sense of humor.
5th impression: How he treated his sister and mom with respect, and how he liked his sister's children. That showed me he'd not only make a great husband, but he'd make a great father as
well to our future children.

All this being said..........impressions 1 thru 4 were all made on our first date :o)
Impression # 5 was from future relations with his family.

Oh, I forgot to add........... it's not all a bed of roses either.....lol. No one ever is "perfect" lol, even me. We both have a little stubborn streak at times, and he has stinky feet..lol. But the big plusses are he doesn't gamble (except for a lottery ticket) and he doesn't drink, and he is faithful. He puts his wife and daughter first ahead of his relatives and other people. I do the same for him and my daughter. I did forget to mention his honor. When he gives his word, it's golden and you can count on it. He has been committed as I to our marriage, and we will celebrate our 40th this October. This is after all our families and friends were giving odds we wouldn't make it a year......lol. Everyone thought we were wrong for each other, or got married too soon, or had a baby too soon, etc., etc.

After kissing a lot of frogs, my hubby was like a breath of fresh air. He had never been married and was tall, dark and very nice looking. He has a great sense of humor and while we share a lot of interests, we are as different as night and day so it never gets boring in our house.
