Milly For Sperry: Top-Sider Shoe Company Announces Designer Collaboration (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 02/ 3/2012 11:22 am   Updated: 02/ 3/2012 11:23 am

We've always loved Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes for the dash of preppy chic they add to any outfit, and now Sperrys are about to get a whole lot cuter.

Sperry has teamed up with Michelle Smith of New York-based fashion house Milly to create 13 styles of shoes emblazoned with Milly's signature prints and vivid colors. OH YES.

"The design team at Sperry Top-Sider has been fans of Milly since the line's inception," says Michelle Poole, vice president of Women's Product and Silver Cloud collaborations, in a release. "We love Michelle Smith's combination of modern, sexy, feminine details, and are excited by her fresh take on our American heritage."

The kicks aren't limited to loafers, either -- we're spying heels, wedges and sneakers amidst the cheerful designs, which reminds us of another Michelle Smith collaboration: the Clinique bag she designed two years ago.

The chic-er Sperrys will cost $90 to $225 for women's versions and $45 to $75 for girls; they'll be for sale this month in Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's and Bergdorf Goodman, among other locations, and online.

Scope out the styles below and vote for your favorite -- we're totally, totally loving them!

Does anyone else think that even though Sperry's have been turned into off-deck footwear, espadrilles probably aren't the best material for boat worthy shoes.

Hate, hate, hate the shoes being slopped out these days... from platforms to booties to peep-toe booties to gladiator sandals and a particular hideousness of those platform wedges are just too much! And now shoes that have the sense that they select different decorations from a paper bag. Boat deck shoe, high heel, printed leather yahtzee!
