WASHINGTON -- Ice cold plunges into freezing water, comedy shows and -- of course -- the Superbowl are all big events this weekend.

Grab that special someone and head over to AFI Silver Theatre's Screen Valentines series, a month-long run of romantic movies that starts tonight and runs through March 7. Slated to run are films like "The Awful Truth" with Irene Dunne and Cary Grant, "Last Tango in Paris" starring Marlon Brando, and tear jerker "The Notebook" with Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.
