Italian Man Reportedly Tosses Baby In Rome's Tiber River

ROME — Police divers are searching the Tiber in Rome for a 16-month-old boy who witnesses said was thrown into the river by his father.

Carabinieri police began searching after a witness after dawn Saturday reported seeing a man, standing on a bridge crossing the Tiber, toss a baby into the frigid waters some 30 feet (about 10 meters) below. Police say they later found the man in another part of Rome and arrested him.

Italian media reports say a relative told investigators that the man had argued with his wife before grabbing the baby and running out of his home. The Italian news agency ANSA said the man, whose identity hasn't been made public, confirmed to police that he had thrown his son into the river.

Did you forget the rule of law instead of the rule of man, or would you like to be taken back to the days or to be taken to the places where it still happens when people were/are killed and tortured?

Could we make a little experiment with you? I accuse of you of blah blah blah, and then a vigilante squad goes and get you. Puts you in a cage. Does it to you.

And you were ID'd by mistake and are innocent. Or you went crazy and did the deed and you are really sick, but not criminal. Or you...

Well, there are Medeas, Saturns (who ate his children) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Devouring_His_Son and so on, and we never can stop them by torturing. We might be able to study them, hold them in confinement and then educate and create the means by which we can treat and prevent such problems, but it will always be horrible. And humans will always do this, regardless of the technology and social learning. I am also chilled, but I have to look at this analytically and legally, so I am somewhat miffed by those who would take him out back and ... BZ.

Also, don't forget Thyestes' feast which, although unthinkably horrible, was preceded by the feast Tantalus offered to the gods for which he is eternally punished in the Underworld. The curse on the House of Atreus was brought about by such horrific actions and passed down through the generations. In a similar way, child abuse is also inherited quite often. This is off topic but you all remember that man who's wife went missing and he said that he had taken his kids out somewhere late at night and then he moved I. With his dad and they found I think chuld pornography on his computer and I think he was liking his sons wifebtoo. Well I just read on yahoo news that he blew up his house with his two sons with him. The social worker brought thebkidsntonhis housebir a supervised visit and the kids ran and got out of the car before he did and he locked the for on the social worker and she started smelling gas and called the authorities. And the house just blew up, you should see the pics, its just so sad.

The death of the child is a tragedy no matter what the father's reasons. Does suggesting a reason like this excuse the murder? No? Well then it shouldn't have been suggested.
