Sharron Angle Won't Rule Out Running For Office In 2012

Sharron Angle's stunning 2010 U.S. Senate race defeat is in the rear-view mirror. With only nine months between now and election day in November, the Tea Party favorite from Nevada is not ruling out another run for office.

Angle told the Las Vegas Sun that her "options are open" and that she believes there is still time to jump into the campaign mix this year.

"There's still time," she said. "That's why I gave the pep talk: there's still time for people to get into the races."

Angle made the remarks on the heels of endorsing former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) for president.

Angle entered the 2012 presidential conversation on Thursday, endorsing Santorum in a statement given to the National Review. She said, "He is a strong fiscal and social conservative who stands on principles above politics." Santorum returned the favor, calling Angle a "fighter."

Angle's 2010 run against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) produced some unforgettable moments. After a surprising Republican primary win, Angle blew an 11-point lead over a span of seven-weeks. Questionable campaign decisions prompted some influential Republicans to jump across party lines to endorse Reid.
