Shabazz Palaces was one of our favorite new talents in 2011, so we were pleased to see them resurface early in 2012 with a video for "Are You... Can You... Were You? (Felt)," off last year's Black Up (head here if you haven't heard this album yet). Directed by Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes, the video begins with a woman sitting in the most stylish rocking chair we've ever seen, which she suddenly propels out of and into a bicycle. It takes a somewhat surrealist turn when she arrives home and argues with her mother in another language -- surreal partially due to how uncomfortably real it is.
