Katy Perry Refuses Russell Brand Questions At Super Bowl

Katy Perry Ducks Russell Brand Breakup Questions At Super Bowl

We all know Katy Perry can get vocal, at least in her music, but she's staying mum on the subject of her failed marriage to British actor Russell Brand. The "Teenage Dream" singer took special precautions to keep prying journalists at bay when she performed at a Super Bowl party hosted by HDNet's Mark Cuban.

Before Katy walked the press line, all reporters were removed from the red carpet so she could pose for photographs and video only -- no questions about "The One That Got Away."

"Katy isn't ready to talk about what happened with Russell," an insider tells me. "She wanted to focus on putting on a great show at the hottest party of the weekend and enjoy hanging out with her friends. She knew that if she let media ask questions, they would ask her about Russell and she just didn't want to go there."

Onstage, at least, Perry gave no hint of being weighed down by problems at home. She performed a set of nine songs and told the crowd, including Madonna's daughter Lourdes, Tom Cruise's son Connor, Shaquille O'Neal and Neil Patrick Harris, that she wanted to dedicate the tune, "Peacock," to NFL player Tim Tebow.

After the show, Katy -- who confessed she was only watching the big game to see Madonna's half-time performance -- was spotted laughing with friends in her VIP section.
