Miss Piggy To Host BAFTA Awards: Muppet Will Interview George Clooney, Brad Pitt And More

Miss Piggy

Watch out, Meryl Streep: Miss Piggy will be the one in the spotlight at this year's BAFTA Awards.

Everyone's favorite high-maintenance muppet will be commanding the red carpet at the British awards show, and she promises to get all the dirt on the hottest names in Hollywood.

"Imagine the likes of George Clooney, Dujardin, Fassbender, Oldman and Pitt achieving the very pinnacle of their careers -- being interviewed by the one and only moi!" Piggy said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Naturally I will be asking questions that only moi would dare to ask."

As for the stars' significant others, Piggy doesn't want much to do with them -- especially if they're former wrestlers like Clooney's girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

"I don't wrestle girlfriends. No," the muppet said. "However, if George wants to wrestle, bring it on! Best two out of three falls? Winner gets a dinner?"

This isn't the first honor the muppets have received in recent weeks. Jason Segel, co-writer and star of 2011's "The Muppets," was named Harvard's Hasty Pudding Man Of The Year by the university's Hasty Pudding Theatrical drama troupe on Friday night. Naturally, he made Piggy proud by showing up in a hot pink bra stuffed with muppets.

I love her! Miss Piggy is so cute. I still likely won't watch the BAFTA Awards, though. I wonder if Miss Piggy tweets. *Logging off to TwitterStalk a muppet*

Years ago Miss Piggy was on 60 Minutes interviewing Morley Safer and Safer was cracking up laughing. I think it's a great idea to have her hosting BAFTA. She's got way more class than most Hollywood actors anyway.

BTW since we're in the 21st century, shouldn't she we call her Ms. Piggy?

I have to say that Miss. P has kept her perfect figure and sense of style through the years. A great lady and sharp as a whip. Tres jolie mam'selle Piggy.

I absolutely LOVE Miss Piggy. She, and the other Muppets, have also sung Christmas carols with Andrea Bocelli on David Foster's Christmas show.

I'm glad to see the "movie stars" poke some fun at themselves.

Was she born in the U.S.? Can she run for president?

I suppose she will hog the stage as usual. Every time she is on stage she just hams it up. And as for her sense of style--what an oinker.
