Will Ferrell's Super Bowl Commercial For Old Milwaukee Beer (VIDEO)

First Posted: 02/ 6/2012 9:06 am Updated: 02/ 6/2012 2:25 pm

Will Ferrell continued his undercover campaign for Old Milwaukee beer on Super Bowl Sunday by taking out a thirty second ad spot during the big game, but it didn't run nationally like you'd expect a star-studded commercial to. In fact, it only ran in Nebraska, keeping with the spirit of Ferrell's first round of Old Milwaukee spots.

While it may not be making any Best Super Bowl Commercials lists, YouTuber DaddyMcc was able to catch the ad on camera and upload it for everyone's enjoyment.

So if any Ferrell fans out there have ever dreamed of him walking slowly across a soy bean field toward you, today's your lucky day, cause we've got some great imagery to flesh out that fantasy.

NO! I won't watch Ferrell! You can't make me! He hasn't done anything worth seeing since SNL.

ELF, it's my favorite!

I went to Old Milwaukee's web site to see the commercial. It's not there. But they do have a gallery of their old commercials. have fun trying to figure out which actors became famous later in their lives.

Beer of choice for underage high school kids. I once found a big pile of empties in the woods behind my house. This will feel like revisiting the misspent days of their youth for my now late twenty somethings, who are not officially members of the rat race. Will Ferrell + Old Milwaukee= big time nostalgia for young adults.

Back in the day, the Stones use to play unannounced gigs at tiny little clubs, which were reportedly amazing. I suppose these Ferrell ads are the modern-day equivalent?

Seems like we lost something along the way.

Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Carlos Santana, Taylor Swift, they have all done surprise "unannounced" concerts recently. I'm sure you can find quite a few musicians that still do this. We haven't lost as much as you might imagine. That being said, do a search for Neil Young's street performance in Glasgow of "Old Laughing Lady". That might take you back to the "good ol' days"

One summer just before grad school, some friends and I were living in a rented cabin in one of Pennsylvania's state forests, and Old Milwaukee was our beer of choice. We'd drive into this old, dying railroad/refractory brick town that had a beer distributor and stock up on cases of OM pounders. I remember it not being to shabby, at least I don't remember waking up with head pounding hangovers like some cheep beer will give you. I just may go buy some just for old times sake. Why we settled on OM may have been because the only thing else available was Piels and I think we would have gone teetotal rather than drink that stuff.

Here's what I love about these. People would see these in Nebraska and say "holy crap! That's WIll Ferrell" and tell are their non-Nebraskan friends who would say "WTF you talking about?"

Old Milwaukee uses only the finest soybeans in their beer, giving it a silky tofu mouth feel.

I remember a coors commercial with Mark Harmon who walked through a wheat field,
nothing but silence and in the end he said "Coord is the one."
This could be a spoof of that, either way it's hilarious.
12:24 PM on 02/07/2012
I know it's just a typo, but it makes me think that after many takes he can no longer say "Coors". Wobbling and swaying out of hte wheat field, "Coord izzz da hic!".

There's actually a whole set of these. He did the ads in, I think, Davenport, Iowa first. There were several of those and now this, which is just fantastic.
