Ashton Kutcher's Birthday Wish Is To Raise $10,000 For Demi And Ashton Foundation

Ashton Kutcher Wants 1 Thing For His Birthday (It's Not What You Think!)

Ashton Kutcher may be single on his birthday for the first time in years, but all he's wishing for is to put an end to child sex trafficking.

Kutcher turned 34 Tuesday and posted a video message on Causes.com, asking for donations to his and his soon-to-be-ex-wife's charity, the Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA). The organization is working to put an end to child sex slavery by educating vulnerable children, reducing demand and targeting the marketplace where such transactions take place.

The "Two and a Half Men" star hopes to raise $10,000 and said he'll match every dollar donated, up to $350,000.

"I'm determined this year to do everything in my power to make the world a better place," Kutcher said in his message. "I have a foundation that focuses on ending the sexual exploitation of children. Any help that you could give towards that would be an amazing, amazing present for me."

Kutcher told the Huffington Post that he first became interested in the cause after watching an episode of "Dateline" about sex trafficking in Cambodia.

"I was watching 6 and 7-year-old girls being raped for profit," Kutcher told the Huffington Post after launching his organization's "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" campaign. "I said to myself: I don't want to live in a world where these things are happening and I'm not doing anything about them."
