Victim's Mother Loses Confidence In Bob Bashara's Innocence

Lorraine Engelbrecht grappled Monday with the grief of knowing the lone person admitting a role in her daughter's death was released from custody without charges and now has an court-appointed attorney to represent him.

"I don't even know what to say or think any more," said Engelbrecht, 80, whose daughter, Jane Bashara, was strangled Jan. 25 and found in the back seat of her Mercedes sport-utility vehicle in a Detroit alley.
