Colorado Caucus 2012 Results MAP: Real-Time Data On The CO Republican Contest

The 2012 Colorado caucus is one of three political contests held Tuesday, along with Minnesota's GOP caucus and Missouri's non-binding Republican primary.

Because Colorado's voters are divided pretty much equally between Democrats, Republicans and Independents, according to the AP, the state has recently gained a lot of attention. However, it has never played much of a role in the nominating process, though state Republicans had hoped to change that by moving the caucus date up by a month.

Going into the caucus in Colorado, Mitt Romney appeared to hold the lead, trailed by Rick Santorum, according to a Public Policy Polling survey. There has been a lack of polling in the area, however, due largely to the non-binding nature of the contest, making the final result hard to predict.

While the caucus process is similar to those used in Iowa and Nevada, most of the Centennial State's delegates to the Republican National Convention won't actually be assigned until after the April 14 GOP state assembly.

Santorum? Ha. The GOP is most entertaining. High Fives all over the white house tonight anyway.

Good. Now Mittness will have to leave the Mittness Protection Program and answer questions from the voters and the press. Every time he does, he loses five percentage points in approval rating. Where will this end? Will GOP dump The Tin Man?
