Going into the North Star State's contest, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) appeared poised for a victory, according to recent polling data. In a poll from Public Policy Polling (PPP) released Monday night, the one-time Pennsylvania lawmaker led the race with 33 percent of the vote, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).

Paul is actually getting a lot of delegates lately. Here's what their campaign said about Saturdays conventions:

--------
"Yesterday, Minnesota held three district conventions.

Our campaign swept all three - winning nine delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa!

And in Colorado, I picked up 12 delegates and 13 alternate delegates, as my campaign pushed a "unity slate" with Rick Santorum's supporters that ended up with 20 total delegates - while Mitt Romney only walked away with 16 delegates!

The Denver Post even called it a "stunning upset.""
--------

I think the news media better start covering Paul better because there may be blow-back on them for not covering this better. I already think they're a bunch of liars already and by them trying to manipulate the voters choices is only making them look even worse.. what ever happened to the news media being the people's watchdog?? They've become the establishments lap dog instead.. pathetic...

Hey Rick Santorum and all you social conservative hacks. Welcome to the 21st century. I'm in Minnesota, and you teabaggers could only come up with 50,000 people to vote? Bye now, write when you find work.

mmmmm... the color of santorum

Looks like the elites are giving Santorum a boost next...they don't want him to get out just yet...

Rick Santorum has absolutely nothing to offer the people of the U.S. Why would Minnesotans not see this fact when the rest of the country apparently does (other than their neighbor and equally boring state of Iowa)?

GREAT QUESTION!

Because of voter fraud thats why. The RNC or whoever want to award states to Santorum now to make it interesting. I just got off watching and reading more about faulty voter results in all of the states. Romeny isn't the real frontrunner and Santorum and Gingrich don't really have that much support, its all a show.

CNN just showed a room of people who voted for Romney by the majority. When asked for someone to talk about why they voted for him, seeing as how he didn't campaign there, no one was willing to discuss it. I wonder if they all stopped and asked themselves, why did i vote for him? And couldn't come up with a reason...

They probably don't want to get into it. They, like most, are voting for Romney because they know he's the right man for the job.

No, they're voting for him because they think he's the most likely to run well against Obama.

He's about as charismatic as a wet dishtowel....
