The Supreme Court ruled that when an individual is in public the expectation of privacy does not exist. Therefore if in public and if the police are not exempt, the public may record what they will.
Is there a valid argument that if such a recording is evidence, it may not be disseminated, may not be destroyed and as evidence of a crime must be handed over to the authorities?

All these articles on the left side of the occupy home page on HP. Most with no comments. Gotta keep quiet about Obamas foot soldiers whilst he cuddles up with the 1% for campaign cash.

Ows has outlived its usefulness to the left and will now be recused to the refuse bin of history.

neoconservatives/teapartiers want to put it on the back page but your unrealistic hopes will see it continue to rise to front page, because we (99%) have had enough of your 1% greed.

I wonder if you have any reason to believe that the so called 1% of the population are in that economic class at the expense of the 99%? Just wondering?

So they arrested him for resisting arrest?

Carlos Miller has had a number of run ins with police for the "crime" of photography, I have no doubt he was known to them and singled out for a little attention and purposefully deleted the files (again)

OWS is all over the country. OWS is in small towns. OWS is in the cities.
OWS is all over the world.

The only problems OWS has is when police show up in riot gear. What do you expect?

Occupy everything? Why don't you try occupying a shower stall or a portapotty.

Police take camera.

Police delete footage.

Police call reporter a liar.

Footage is recovered.

You missed the part where she threatened him with bodily harm.

"You were given a dispersal order, sir, and you were told you were gonna be placed under arrest," she told Miller in the video. "We don't want to have to hurt you," she said.

The public formed this gang to protect them from the other gangs and gave them more resources to do so. A world without the police is one you would not want to live in and likely would not be allowed to do so.
02:28 AM on 02/10/2012
too bad a world with police is just as bad as one without in many places
10:40 AM on 02/08/2012
If Obama would say or do anything about the police state I would be inclined to support him for president. Instead, he just takes away more of our constitutional protections and does nothing as the chief law enforcement officer to enforce the ones we still have left.
